1. Who we are
Off The Record (“OTR,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) is a softball pitching journal published by OnBaseIQ LLC. This policy explains how the app handles your information. It applies to the Off The Record iOS app.
2. The short version
Off The Record is designed to work entirely on your device. The app does not require an account, does not connect to our servers, and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Everything you log stays in the app on your device and is removed if you delete the app.
3. Information you enter (stored only on your device)
So that the app can do its job, you may choose to enter information such as:
- Profile details — name, jersey number, school, position, class year, goals, and an optional profile photo.
- Session data — pitch types, drills, mechanics focus, speed (MPH), spin (RPM), spin efficiency, how your arm felt, notes, feel, and game stats.
- Coach details you optionally add — a coach name, phone, or email you enter for your own reference.
- Videos — any practice clips you attach to a session.
4. Information we do not collect
Off The Record does not collect or receive any personal data. Specifically, we do not gather your contacts, location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics, and we do not require you to create an account or sign in.
5. Photos and videos
If you add a profile photo or attach a video to a session, those files are saved within the app’s local storage on your device. They are used only to display inside the app and are never transmitted off your device by us. The app will ask for photo or camera permission through iOS only when you choose to add media; you can decline or change this at any time in your device Settings.
6. Purchases (tips)
Off The Record is free. You may optionally leave a one-time tip to support future updates. Tips are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We never receive or store your payment card information. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
7. Children’s privacy
Off The Record is intended for athletes, families, and coaches. Because the app collects no personal information and transmits nothing off the device, it does not knowingly gather data from anyone, including children under 13. Any information entered remains on the device under the control of the device owner.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because all data is stored on your device, you are in full control of it. You can edit or delete your sessions and profile within the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all associated data.
9. Security
Your information is protected by your device’s own security (such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID) and iOS app sandboxing, which keeps each app’s data private from other apps. Since nothing is transmitted to us, there is no server-side database of your information to breach.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the “Effective” date above and post the new version at this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
